I'm getting flown out to Portugal?

So... I'm getting FLOWN OUT to Portugal 🇵🇹 by someone who found me through my LINKEDIN posts!? 🤯

I'm absolutely thrilled to have been personally invited as a speaker at Web Summit in Lisbon, Portugal, and to mentor Serbian startups at the conference!

Web Summit is one of the world's largest and most influential technology conferences, with over 70,000 attendees, 900+ investors, and 2,600+ startups from more than 160 countries, including industry leaders.

As someone passionate about technology, public speaking, and investing in and supporting startups (especially in emerging markets), this is the perfect opportunity!

Plus, I've never been to Portugal!

This feels surreal because, just two years ago, in November 2022, I was scared to start posting on LinkedIn out of fear of judgment from my peers.

I wanted to document my career journey in public and build an active online presence but was worried I’d get fired or that my peers would think I was weird 😅

But I started and stuck with it anyway...

And now, I'm being flown out of the country to speak at a leading conference by people who discovered me through the very LinkedIn posts I was once afraid to share!

I'm so glad I started.

I truly believe more people should build in public.
