Teamwork makes the dream work!

This week has been rewarding.

During late evenings, I've continued volunteering as a pro-bono Tech Lead (and Software Engineer) on a new software product based in Africa, with some friends in Kenya🇰🇪 & Uganda🇺🇬

As the Tech Lead I've been given the opportunity to lead a team of 4 software developers to drive the product to being feature-complete, in time for our product launch.

This week, the team has made an insane amount of progress, and we've just completed our FIRST EVER end-to-end product demo, during an internal demo day!!!

I'm proud to say that we've met our deadline and we're now ready to launch! 🚀

We'll be doing a soft launch - that is to a small subset of real users, to get feedback.

I'm glad that we met our June 30th deadline and officially finished the first half of 2023 strong, here's onto H2! 🔥

🎯Lesson:

Going from being a Software Engineer to a Tech Lead (or any sort of leader), allows you to become a FORCE MULTIPLIER, the team made a huge amount of progress this week!

In fact, the team made more progress than I could have made alone, so now I understand how important it is to work with a team! You save so much time, distribute work, and achieve a clearly defined goal extremely efficiently - especially when your team is talented 🔥
